Terms

• Area of Focus. An ongoing responsibility, such as Work or Home. See Areas of Focus.
• Context. The place, tool, or situation you need to do something. See Contexts.
• Inbox. Where captured items wait until you decide what they are.
• Next Action. The very next physical step on something. Next Actions live in Next.
• Project. An outcome that needs more than one step. See Projects.
• Quick capture. The button, and the c shortcut, that adds a thought from any page. See Capturing a thought.
• Reference. Information to keep that needs no action.
• Reminder Date. The day you want to look at an item again. See Reminder Dates.
• Someday/Maybe. Ideas you might act on later.
• Stalled Project. An Active Project with no next step.
• Thought. The words you captured, kept exactly as you wrote them.
• Waiting For. Something someone else must do first. See Waiting For.
• Weekly Review. The six-step review. See Weekly Review.
