Finding your way around

The navigation menu

The menu is grouped to follow the GTD steps (see The GTD method in NextAction). Engage comes first because it is what you open most; Welcome numbers the same five steps in the order they happen.

• Start: Overview, Welcome, and Setup.
• Engage: Today and Do Now.
• Clarify: Inbox, Mind Sweep, and Process.
• Organize: All items, Next, Waiting For, Someday/Maybe, Reference, Completed, Projects, Areas of Focus, and Contexts.
• Reflect: Review.

The top bar

• Search finds items and projects. See Searching and finding items.
• Global Areas Filter narrows the lists to the Areas of Focus you choose. Every Area is selected to begin with. Use Select all and Clear in the list. With none selected, you see only items that have no Area. See Areas of Focus.
• Quick capture adds a thought from any page. Press c as a shortcut.
• Color toggle switches between light and dark.
• Upcoming shows what is coming. See Today and Upcoming.
• Documentation opens this Documentation in a new tab.

Your account menu

The account menu holds Profile, Preferences, Integrations, Data management, Documentation, Support, and Sign out. Support is not available yet. See Getting support.
